What kind of culture do you find in a credit union?

You'd be surprised.

We follow a professional dress code for the majority of the days in the year. However the Credit Union is a participant in fundraisers for various charities and a way to raise a lot of money is by having our employees purchase Casual Days on Fridays. It allows them to have "dress down" days throughout the year. We have company picnics in the summer and a holiday party during the winter for our staff and their family. We have committees that coordinate celebrations of birthdays and other holidays throughout the year.

  • We hire the person whose qualifications most closely meet the needs of the
    Credit Union.
  • It is our policy to offer equal opportunity to all in every aspect of employment, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other classifications protected by federal, state, or local laws.
  • We promote from within when appropriate and offer opportunities to
    qualify for promotion.
  • We provide a clean, healthy, and safe place to work. We pay fair wages in line with job requirements and job performance, consistent with budgetary restraints and fiscal prudence.
  • We offer an incentive plan where employees can earn above and beyond
    their normal wages.
  • We offer employees' medical, dental, life insurance as well as health and dependent care reimbursement accounts.
  • We provide benefits such as sick leave, personal leave, holidays and vacations with pay, in line with current practices and business conditions.
  • We expect each employee to show real interest in his/her job and to give a
productive day's work to the best of their abilities and skills.

These policies are intended to help create and maintain a climate in which people work together effectively and with enthusiasm.
