While we all strive to manage our finances responsibly, we also understand that life doesn’t always go according to plan. For those unforeseen events and expenses, Public Service Credit Union offers members two overdraft protection services: an Overdraft Line of Credit and Courtesy Clear.
OVERDRAFT LINE OF CREDIT*
Members with checking accounts are encouraged to apply for and take advantage of an Overdraft Line of Credit to avoid the inconvenience and expense of bounced checks and declined check card purchases. With an Overdraft Line of Credit, funds will automatically be deposited into your checking account to cover your purchase or cleared check in the event it becomes overdrawn. Best of all, there is no transaction fee for this convenient service.
*The Overdraft Line of Credit is a loan. Advances are made in $100 increments. A low payment of at least 3% of the total unpaid balance, or $30, whichever is greater, is due once a month. For your convenience, payments are automatically transferred from your checking account.
Courtesy Clear is a special overdraft privilege for Public Service Credit Union members. If your checking account becomes overdrawn, and you don’t have an Overdraft Line of Credit or other funds to cover a purchase, PSCU may approve your overdraft items within your current available Courtesy Clear limit as a non-contractual courtesy, preventing you the inconvenience and expense of dealing with a returned check.
